Role Format: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Salaried, 100% In-Person/0% Remote
Hours: 8:45 am to 4:45 pm with 45 minutes for lunch, Monday through Friday
Salary: $50,000
Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Pittsford FCU Member Service Greeter is to happily respond to a wide variety of inquiries posed by members (and others) visiting the Pittsford Branch. The Greeter provides a wide spectrum of branch member service activities, including welcoming and directing visitors, member transaction processing, and clerical and administrative tasks. The Greeter works closely with other team members. Therefore, the ability to flourish in a diverse team environment is essential. The Greeter is often the initial contact members (and not-yet members) have with Pittsford FCU. Therefore, delivering world-class, “member will recommend PFCU to others” service throughout ever interaction is required. Close attention to detail, diligent research ability, strong organization skills and proficiency in written and oral communication are critical to accomplish the responsibilities of the position.
Essential Functions
- Become/remain familiar with Pittsford FCU’s products, policies, and procedures; Assist in processing member service inquiries, transactions, and special requests.
- Assist the Branch Member Service Team with various tasks, including ATM Balancing and Vault Balancing
- Comply with PFCU policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations.
- Thoroughly embrace, and through everyday actions, embody, PFCU’s Five Core Values: Effort, Fun, Respect, Honesty/Integrity and Tolerance.
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high-school diploma or equivalent plus one to two years minimum of in-person customer service experience is required.
- Desire, ability and commitment to learn, with initiative to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, demonstrated through the use of correct salutations, grammar, spelling, punctuation and encryption (for electronic communication) along with effective and positive interactions with members and team members.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other common computer skills (Internet navigation, etc.).
- Ability to deal effectively, professionally, and pleasantly with internal team members, members of the Credit Union and members of the communities we serve.
- Willingness to work cooperatively and effectively on projects with others while promoting a team environment.
- Maintain a professional appearance that aligns with Pittsford Federal Credit Union’s dress code policy.
- Maintain and exhibit a positive attitude which is vital to deliver world-class service.
- Representation of the credit union’s core values in all aspects of professional conduct.
- Notary licensing is encouraged and valued in this role.

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, as well as bend or move to reach within various storage cabinets from eye-level to floor-level.
- The position is located primarily at our Pittsford branch; however, the employee may be required to travel to work at our Mendon branch location on occasion.
