It Pays to Go Green with eStatements –
eStatements offers secure online access to your monthly statement information while reducing waste and the consumption of resources. In addition, when you stop receiving statements by mail, you reduce the chance of your information getting lost or stolen. For every statement that isn’t printed and mailed, Pittsford FCU saves money, which can be passed on to members in the form of higher dividends.
We’re making this promotion pay in a more traditional sense as well… Ten (10) members will be chosen at random to receive $100 cash. Winners will be drawn from a list of all members who have chosen to suspend paper statements by Friday, April 25, 2008. This includes members who have chosen to go paperless at anytime in the past.
In partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, Pittsford FCU will plant a tree for every member who chooses to stop receiving paper statements by National Arbor Day 2008 – that’s Friday, April 25. Planting trees will pay dividends for generations.

Are my funds on deposit at the credit union insured? Yes. Pittsford Federal Credit Union is insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, an arm of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Funds (shares) on deposit at Pittsford Federal Credit Union are protected by federal deposit insurance.
How much coverage do I have? As a Pittsford FCU member you are insured up to $100,000 on regular share accounts and up to $250,000 on an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) – just as with FDIC coverage at banks. Accounts maintained in different legal ownership capacities may each be separately insured. For example, if you have a regular share account and an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) at the same credit union, the regular share account is insured up to $100,000 and the IRA is separately insured up to $250,000. However, if you have a Savings, Certificate, and Checking account, all in your own name, those accounts will be added together and insured up to $100,000 as your individual account. A PFCU representative would be happy to provide you with details or you may visit www.ncua.gov/shareinsurance for additional information.
Making a Difference
For over 40 years, the Pittsford FCU has served its members. Originally founded as a teachers’ credit union, we’ve always helped those that make our community stronger. After expanding to serve the community as a whole, we’ve continued to invest, through our support of the Children’s Miracle Network, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Pittsford Youth Services, Scholarship Programs, Little League Sponsorship, the YMCA’s Invest in Youth Campaign, and other special programs dedicated to helping our youngest community members develop into vibrant community contributors.
In 2008, the credit union has expanded its investment in the community further than ever before. As a corporate sponsor of the Nazareth Arts Center Renovation, Pittsford FCU recognizes the importance of the arts in our community, and resources like the Bach Children’s Chorus will directly benefit for years to come.
Pittsford Federal Credit Union also gives more to its members than any other credit union. That makes us different. As a not-for-profit institution, we return our excess earnings to our members in the form of fewer fees, lower loan rates, and greater dividends on deposits. In each of the past four years, members have enjoyed a $500,000 Special Member Dividend – a direct benefit of our cooperative structure and focus on cost control.
